Hello Robert-

I am writing this letter today to give accolades to your company, the one that provided my family with a wonderful finished basement.

Where do I begin? We had a dark, damp basement that was underutilized. I would hem and haw when I had to do laundry. Such a horrible yucky basement! One day, I came across an advertisement in the mail about the C-O basements. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, I thought. Besides, we could always say no. In fact, I told the man, "it was just a visit for interest, only."

You as our representative scheduled a visit and met with us. WOW, we thought. What you were telling us was absolutely wonderful-could we manage it? You made some calls to the home office, the project was scheduled and we were all set…

Could it be so?

The men arrived as scheduled within the agreed time in the contract (I think it was within 2 weeks) we had a FINISHED basement!!! All we had to do was the carpeting. UNBELIEVABLE! It was absolutely wonderful. I actually didn't mind going down there to do laundry, even in the late hours of the night.

The men were professionals in every manner. The project lead was conscientious and followed up with us at various points in the project. While the room was being worked on, at the end of the day, the room was always left in an orderly way and the men were out by 5pm when we returned home. The P.L. left his number for calls-any time of day. I was very impressed with this team.

The finished result was fantastic. We don't worry about the dampness ruining our walls and it has survived some of the kid's "test"- with flying colors. Thank you for a wonderful experience and a wonderful basement!!

Dear Robert,

Incredible! Owens Corning saved us tens of thousands of dollars!

The system did what it was supposed to do-dry out to prevent mold and mildew. After having the system for a few months during very dry weather, we had over a week of heavy rains. Our normally flooded-water seeped through the windows/walls-resulting in dozens of gallons of water sucked up by the wet-vac. We will have to replace the new carpet. And it we had sheet-rocked, we would be replacing the walls, too. (We know this because the one pole with non-system encasing had mold growing on the bottom. That small area has been spot treated with bleach.)

Thanks to the system, we don't have to replace the walls-saving money and hassles. We're so pleased with the wall system, that we'll be installing the floor system, too.

Additionally, we're pleased all around. John DeClare and Patrick did an excellent job with the construction work including being on schedule and courteous. We were concerned about the aesthetics pre-install. The new room with its numerous overhead lights is bright and cheery-great for a playroom. And the walls will probably not look "dated" as I feared-think wood paneling from the 1970's. The new room is a bright and inviting addition. We use it as the kiddie playroom, so all the toys don't have the swamp the rest of the house as before.

We whole-hardily recommend this system and the crew at CKH Industries.

I am writing this letter to express our overwhelming satisfaction with the Owens-Corning Basement Finishing System. We had the system installed in our basement (approximately 1100sf) last summer. We had never seen a finished system, and we were somewhat skeptical. However, we thought that the technology made a lot of sense and we liked the cosmetics.

The entire project, from estimate to final installation, was done with the utmost professionalism. The project started as scheduled, and the installer was extremely competent and courteous. The electrician was equally easy to work with. They both gave me a great degree of confidence that the project would go exactly as planned.
The final product looked great. Everything was done correctly the first time. We did not have to call back the installer for anything. The salesman, Jonathan White, kept in touch during the installation and afterwards to make sure that we were completely satisfied.
Friends and neighbors are in awe of the way our new basement looks. We have set up a media area, a home gym, and a game room. To say the least, we are getting tremendous use of our new basement. It has become the favorite room in our home.
I am very happy that we went with Owens-Corning instead of a sheetrocked basement. It is quiet, warm and beautiful. I highly recommend it.
